Stay warm — and cool — in fall loungewear

While Sarah has styled for high-end designers, she knows haute couture isn't always appropriate. She loves to find fashionable solutions for everyday life and believes comfortable and chic aren't mutually exclusive.

The Tastemaker Diaries is pleased to welcome guest blogger, Sarah, brought to you by Victoria’s Secret. She’s a professional stylist who will be sharing her favorite picks from the VS PINK fall line.

We’ve all had those days in college where we hit the snooze button for the 9th time, only to realize that we have the choice of either getting dressed or brushing our teeth. In the interest of not scaring off the cute boy sitting next to you in English class with morning breath, stock up on Victoria’s Secret PINK loungewear. This way, you can wear your pajama pants to class and still look stylish!

With a wide assortment of casual sweats and accessories that are comfortable and easy to throw on but still sexy (they’re from Victoria’s Secret after all!), this loungewear is great for a variety of on- or off-campus occasions.

Go straight from class to the gym in this great foldover yoga pant:

Keep cozy and warm in a pair of thigh-high sweater tights:

While you probably can’t wear slippers to class (fuzzy kittens don’t scream style!), you can have all of the comfort and warmth of a slipper while still being chic with these studded moccasins.

You worked hard to get into college, and picked your school because you’re proud to go there! While you want to show your school spirit and accomplishments, you can’t really pull that off and still get the look you want with the oversized grey sweats sold in the campus bookstore…

That’s where Victoria’s Secret PINK comes in! They know that you want to acknowledge your school spirit while still showing your sense of style and personality, so they’ve launched their cool and cute Collegiate Collection. Alone For Valentine’s Day? Gift yourself, girl!

With her photographer's eye for detail, Brie is always scoping out jewelry, handbags and shoes that perfectly complete an ensemble.

I am sure I am not the only woman who always seems to be single by the time Valentine’s Day rolls around each year. I, like many others, have wallowed in V-day depression in the past.

It’s hard for single people this time of year when advertising bombards us with images of happy couples gifting one another with luxury gifts to show their undying love for one another.

Why not ignore the advertising and lovey-dovey couples this year and indulge yourself?  That’s right, gift yourself…who says that you cannot? There is no rule against gifting yourself every once in a while.

Here are some gift ideas for the single gal that I have found online.

Why not make yourself a yummy chocolate goodie using this cookbook? The Deep Chocolate cookbook is only $19.95 from Fredflare.com

Making your own chocolate goodies is better than getting the semi-stale boxes of chocolate from the supermarket from a last-minute shopping boyfriend, right?

Next, why not light some candles to relax? Like these:

This 6-piece candle set from Overstock.com is only $55.99 and would set the mood for a long soak in the bath.

Once the candles have set the mood, it’s time to prepate a bath with wonderful scented bubble bath.

A Diet You can Live With Gift Set by Philosophy at Sephora.com gives you three great scents to add to your tub: Pink Frosted Layer cake, Creme Brulee, or Fudge Cake. Quite an indulgence for just $30.00.

Indulge me: Girly treats to survive winter

Tough life – as a TV personality and Co-Owner of SkorchStyle, an online resource for plus-size fashionistas, Carrie’s got to spend her days scoping out clothes, accessories and beauty products.

Any excuse to indulge in my girly splurges is a good one — especially winter. Winter is a perfect time to celebrate the absolute-inner-princess in every woman. Here are a few of my current, must-have feminine indulgences. Oh swoon! :)

1. Cashmere. Must have cashmere. It’s soft and beautiful.

2. Strawberry-based perfume. I know that we are right in the middle of winter, but these scents help to ease winter blues with a sexy and summery scent. Mmm. Delicious.

Estee Lauder’s pleasures delight is a floral confection blending notes of juicy Pomegranate, whipped Strawberry Meringue and tempting Caramel with a sprinkling of Sugared Rose Petals, dewy Freesia, White Peony and Fresh Greens. How can I resist? :)

Yummy! The Strawberries and Champagne collection from Victoria’s Secret! Items are sold separately, starting at about $10.
