Wedding trend: Enchanted Forest

To help engaged couples find the perfect wedding invitations, Katie keeps a close eye on the high fashion trends that translate from a walk down the runway to your trip down the aisle.

I’m Katie, and I’m a blogger for the site Wedding Paper Divas.  I have the privilege of viewing nearly every piece of stationery before it goes up on our website, giving me the ultimate inside scoop on upcoming trends in the wedding world.  I’m looking forward to sharing all of the chic new wedding trends with you here at The Tastemaker Diaries!

One of our favorites for this spring is the “Enchanted Forest” wedding theme, which combines flowing wedding dresses, tall trees, rich earthy tones, low-hanging lights and delicate centerpieces for a dreamy aesthetic that’s as romantic as it is refined. The key to achieving this ethereal look is to keep everything soft and rustic, with understated hues and a blend of earthy branches, leaves and blooms punctuated by the heavenly glow of outdoor chandeliers.

Check below for some of our favorite Enchanted Forest wedding inspiration, along with a few wedding invitations to match. Then check back next month to find out our favorite trend for sweet summer weddings!

The neutral for spring 2010

With her photographer's eye for detail, Brie is always scoping out jewelry, handbags and shoes that perfectly complete an ensemble.

I started to notice the growing amount of nude/beige color fashion items a few months back. I overlooked this until the Golden Globes happened and almost every woman there was wearing a nude shade of gown.

The fact that so many celebrity women wore this neutral color to a huge event like the Golden Globes, cemented the fact that it is the shade for Spring 2010.

The nude shade is offered in mainly high-end fashion items at the moment:
