Gifts they won’t regift (all under $25)!

A blogger for fashion retailer Bluefly.com, Nana breaks down the biggest trends on the curb, the catwalk & the red carpet.

Put your holiday gift anxieties to rest. Yes, the economy sucks, but there are plenty of things you can treat your loved ones to that won’t break the bank. Think items that can be used regularly, and easily incorporated into your loved one’s wardrobe or lifestyle.

1. Wine glasses

They’re the perfect gift for just about anyone, whether they drink wine or not. Sparkling cider or white wine alike can be enjoyed in this set of stemless Chardonnay tumblers (just $15)!

2. A Cozy Winter Accessory

Berets are totally on trend this winter, so I don’t think anyone on your gift list would be mad to unwrap this 100% cashmere topper. It comes in black and chocolate brown as well. At $25, you might wanna treat yourself to one as well.

Surfacing trend: The It Shoe?

A blogger for fashion retailer Bluefly.com, Nana breaks down the biggest trends on the curb, the catwalk & the red carpet.

Has the “It” Shoe replaced the “It” Bag? According to journalist Hadley Freeman it has, as evidenced by the crazy high heels (we’re talking about 6-to-8-inch stilettos) that scuffed up the catwalks in New York, London, Milan and Paris.

But I say it’s all about the “It” Accessory. With the economy going to pot, it’s all about using one or two amazing statement accessories to add new flavor to your favorite, broken-in pair of jeans or a “this old thing” dress.

Will you be buying a pair of “It Shoes” like the pair featured above for this season? Or are you with me on sticking with accessories?

Project Runway scoop

A blogger for fashion retailer Bluefly.com, Nana breaks down the biggest trends on the curb, the catwalk & the red carpet.

Cheers, people!! I know it’s been foreva since I posted, but now that Project Runway’s 5th season is over, I can breathe again – and make up for my absence with a little Runway dish. As many of you diehard fans know, the finale was shot in the Bluefly offices so we got to pilfer from the production’s craft services table, bump into Suede and Jerell in the halls, and meet Tim Gunn(!!). My colleague Mindy Dorf got to get all the goss since she was tasked with helping the finalists pick the right shoes for their collections! You have to read Mindy’s blog post.

Christian Siriano’s collection launches tomorrow

A blogger for fashion retailer Bluefly.com, Nana breaks down the biggest trends on the curb, the catwalk & the red carpet.

For the past three weeks, it’s been Project Runway and Christian Siriano fever at the Bluefly offices as we prepped for the launch of PR’s fifth season and Christian Siriano’s exclusive Bluefly collection, which launches Thursday, July 23rd (that’s tomorrow, people!). When you get a sec, hop over to Bluefly.com and check it out.

The collection is very Christian – jackets, skinny pants, skirts, dresses, tee shirts, with strong ruffled details… so it’s no surprise Christian bought boyfriend, Brad Walsh the ruffle-panel Burberry top he wore to the Project Runway Season 5 Wrap Party.

Check out more pics from the party here.
