Trendspotting: Fold-over boots
I have been browsing online and in local stores recently and noticed a new trend: the fold-over or “bell bottom” boot.
They come in many lengths and styles:
The Buckle Fold-Over Ankle Bootie:
The Mid-Calf Zip-Up Boot:
The To-The-Knee Western Bell Bottom Boot:
The Back Zip To-The-Knee Wedge Fold-Over Boots:
Personally, I am loving theses “to-the-knee” styles and would love to find a pair. They’re modern, sleek, and would really add some flair to my wardrobe. You do have to have a bit of daring to wear them.
How about you? Are you liking the fold-over boot trend? I would love to hear opinions from fashionistas.

I probably wouldn’t buy them unless they actually folded over so I could wear them at different lengths. Or do they? They look like they are styled to be folded over and are not actually adjustable in length. I have a philosophical distaste for fake pockets and fake fold-over boots sort of fits in with that…
The “bell-bottom” style looks a bit like leather jacket sleaves worn over boots. The last pair looks elegant and fitted, but as far as the looser belled look that has some slouch, it seems like if I wanted to, I could alter a pair of boots with some strips of leather for that look, so I probably would not buy this style. I might try a diy boot proj though!
I like the ankle boots best, although the second pair is also okay. I don’t like the two longer styles after that – to me they don’t look right.
That sounds like a good plan for a dyi project.
Some of the styles are adjustable form what i have seen. I just am finding the stykle fascinating.
LOVE the shoes! Where are tey from?
