I spy with my eye: Long necklaces
I have been getting out and about now that the weather has turned toward summer in the Northern Hemisphere and have noticed a trend on many a woman’s neck.
Long, necklaces of all colours, made of various materials, price ranges, and worn with tanks, tees, dresses, and tunics. I have even started buying many of the longer necklaces myself to wear with my v-neck tees because I am liking the look.
Some of my online finds as examples:

There are just so many designs and styles to choose from…as well as so many prices. It makes it an easy trend to participate in.
Anyone else buying long necklaces this season to add to your summer wardrobe?

I have quite the collection of long necklaces — I think I started buying them two summers ago. I tend to buy long necklaces with a pendant (like the Gorjana Sunburst Necklace). I’ve gotten most of mine from Forever 21 and H&M — you can find some really great pieces on the cheap!
I LOVE Forever 21! We just got one of these stores in my city and it is a greta way to shop the trends without breaking the bank. They have a great selection of accessories so I am always hitting Forever 21.
I love long necklaces also, and still have some from when they were popular last time (about 15 yrs ago!). I have recently purchase a few trendy and colorful ones at Macy’s and Nordstrom Rack very cheap ($10 – $20).
oo thanks for this….I make my own jewellery, and long lariat-types are my personal favourites. It is Winter now in SA so long necklaces are good to wear over your collar/blouse. We have an African seed (called Job’s Tears) that is grey, and it’s currently very popular (I have orders for many multi-strand necklaces) . Although it used to be casual and rustic, the trend now, is to wear it with your smartest designer-wear too!
Neckalces (and jewelry) with an “ethnic twist” to them are popular right now…with the beading and the different mixes of stone and metal. They are greta additions to the jewerly box because they never go out of style for long!
I love the one from shopintuition.com! It’s very Lauren Conrad style!
