To one-piece or bikini: That is the question
One-pieces have elevated from the weird ruched and wrap styles our moms used to wear. Between daring “eff the tan line” cut-outs, on-trend one-shoulder styles, and glam hardware details they’re becoming bona fide fashion statements. But will you be trading in your bikini for a onesy at the beach this spring break and summer? I’m curious!

I am a two piece type of gal. I have a long torso so look beeter with the break in the bathing suit when it is a bikini. A one piece looks a bit odd on me and it is hard to find one that fits my body right.
I like the way a one piece looks on me. I have a thicker middle section so a one piece gives me the appearance of a smaller mid-section.
1 piece definetly. My middle is too thick for a 2 peice
One piece for me, stretch marks you know!
One piece definitely! My stomach was never flat but
my body has changed too much in the past 10 years
and it is alot heavier now I look much fitter in a one
piece
I like bikinis. I’m pretty short and I know one-pieces are supposed to make you look taller and longer but… I maybe I’m delusional, I think I look squat in one-pieces. Even with all the cool styles now, I feel like they’re too much for the ocean. The cut outs, etc. these are suits made more for poolside miami than for say, a community pool or a day at the beach. The choices are either “sensible” or too glam for me to feel normal in.
if i could find a decent one piece that’s what i would wear. but as it is with the shopping in the area which i live i’ll just have to make do with a bikini and board shorts. i love all the new styles for one-pieces though. although the cut-outs and such simply look awkward on me. haha
I prefer bikinis. I’m slender with a defined waist, proprotionally big butt and thighs. My thighs look unflattering in both styles, but my upper body looks better in a bikini, so I opt for bikini.
I’m a bikini gal all the way.
If you’ve got it, flaunt it, after all.
One pieces look good on short people, or stocky people, because they really lengthen out the legs.
But I don’t need that, so bikini all the way this summer!
I think I will compromise with a Tankini – stretch marks and CZ scars don’t look good in bikinis!
i love how the one piece looks on me, there;s something about the pieces that doesn;t make me feel comfortable
Bikini all the way. I have small breasts and I have yet to find a one piece the doesn’t flatten my bustline. Since everything else on me looks great I prefer to show it off in a two-piece suit.
I am cheating….TANKINI!!!! for me….
One-pieces have a more retro, sophisticated look, and that’s what appeals to me. I especially like 40’s and 50’s style one piece swimsuits.
Also, I’m just not comfortable wearing a bikini in public I feel like I’m walking around in my underwear and bra…yuck.
Bikiniiiiiiiiii all the waaaaaaaaaaaay!!
I’ll be sticking with my trusty bikini. I have a long torso, so even the sexiest one-pieces just further elongate my body & never fit quite right.
Im buying both this year!!
bikini….even though the red 1 piece looks HOTTTT!
I would prefer to have the one piece even though bikinis
1. have a sweet name
2. show lots
3. they have cool designs
But I still really like one pieces because I don’t like looking like I’m in my underwear (no offense to bikini lovers) But that’s just my opinion.
there are WAY too many sexy one piece suits to pass up the fabulous, easy to swim in, design!
Body style is definitely a factor in buying a swim suit, I’m sure we have all seen the ones gone wrong. I’m very small framed with a Jlo trunk, I really like the new one piece classy 40’s style suits as opposed to a 2 piece.
bikini never fails me:)
i love the one piece, i have a flat tummy and would real love to show it.
I love a 2 piece string tie bikini. I am a 34 c, and wear a zero in jeans. So, I can get away and a 2 pieces normally without any equipment failure. I must admit, that I have seen some sexy one piece suits this year, some with Brazilan cut bottom. That I would consider
