Leggings that make you go hmm, Part Deux

Dina is StyleFeeder's resident marketing goddess and shopping addict, who will keep you up to date on what's new and hot with the StyleFeeder community.

I was glad to find that I wasn’t the only one puzzled by the idea of dropped-crotch leggings. But ever since I wrote that post, I’ve started to be alert to their presence. StyleFeeder oona claims she’s seen them all over Italy, and apparently, they are now hitting the streets of Moscow, per The Sartorialist:

So what do we think? Like them any better on real people?

On a separate but related note, I was cruising around at Brown’s Fashion and stumbled upon designer Pam Hogg’s latest collection. You can purchase her superhero-esque collection as separates (leggings and T’s), but I’m digging this jumpsuit more:

Having grown up believing Wonder Woman was a feminist icon, I can appreciate Hogg’s inspiration. But in this economy, is anyone going to shell out more than 500 pounds to look like a glam Power Ranger?

  • I wote an amusing post in my own fashion blog about the fact Pam Hogg needs to keep her creations on the runway because no one wants to walk around looking like an extra from a 50s sci fi B-movie. Maybe if you want to go to a costume party but who wnats to spend haute couture prices on a costume?

Still not digging the drop crotch leggings either. They are just too droopy and look strange to me.

  • I actually like the drop crotches way better on real peeps, but they need to be worn at their own risk, that’s for sure. Wonder Woman’s my style icon too!

  • That looks just odd to me… I can’t say I like them any better, those 2 girls look cool, but I would much rather wear a long top over leggings, than dropped crotch leggings….. Hm, who knows, I’m quite influentiable, and these pics look cool. I might give it a try, but hey, then next season they will be so passé….. oh well. And no, I would definitely not buy that suit, not even for a costume party.

  • I think they look a bit better on real people, but they are still ugly. It reminds me of a toddler with a full diaper. Every time I see them, I throw up in my mouth a little.
