Go nerd chic with LEGO jewelry
The best thing that could ever happen to a tech geek fashionista is the new nerd chic trend! I love the style, and there are plenty of designers that I think really capture the essence of nerd chic. My fave part of the trend is definitely the funky LEGO jewelry that’s popping up everywhere! Here are some of my favorite LEGO pieces:
The fruitstripe plus limited edition bracelet by – reware by emiko which retails for $240 is made from repurposed LEGOs, with patented sterling silver tubing and synthetic rubber corundum set in 14k gold.

Dee and Ricky pixel heart pin for $20 dollars. This pin is soooo cute that it’s sold out for now.

Dee and Ricky, who happen to be twins, design jewelry and recently had their pieces featured on the Marc Jacob runway (below).

Jacqeline Sanchez’s Forever One Collection is an elegant version of LEGO jewelry. I love her pieces! Here are four of my favorites:

1. Cufflinks in sterling silver and colored plastic for $150 dollars 2. This cute Forever Young Cuff Bracelet is photo etched sterling silver with plastic and sterling silver rivets for $350 3.This Forever Young Ring No. 02 is photo-etched sterling silver with plastic, 14kt yellow gold and a sing diamond for $250.00 4. Forever Young Bracelet is a 7″ sterling silver bracelet with plastic for $350.00
Etsy also has a great collection of LEGO jewelry. I especially like these translucent LEGO earrings for just $5.99. Each one captures light and are hanging from hypoallergenic French hooks.

What are your thoughts on the nerd chic trend?

Hi Tierra,
I’m not much into jewelery , but I guess the teens are trendy on this new lego jewelery. Thanks for the info.

My husband is obsessed with Legos! This is so cool! He even has the Lego Man tattooed on his arm. I love this line.
lol! when i saw the title, i thought “…way way is this going to be cute” but pleasantly was surprised
totally love the first piece–from afar, you would just think it was a funky cuff.
also like the green cuff from Forever One.
definitely have to be a bit younger to thoroughly enjoy this trend, but i love the fun concept and the fact that some of the pieces still really retain the elegance of accessories
great find!
@ Sangrita – you can pull this look off elegantly with a little work.. check out this image http://www.poshbot.com/wp-content/fashion-pics/marc_spring_2008_full02.jpg.
@Mandy – perfect gift to spice up his suits would definitely be the cufflinks
@nadia – i love the cuff too, that was my fave piece. you can pull it off if you add one piece to a simple and elegant outfit and pair it with tortoise shell glasses or wedge heels.
I like the earrings, they’re a little different because they’re transparent, but I like them!
This is great! I love Lego, so Lego jewelery is a winner. You’re a star for finding this stuff – I never would have thought to look for it. Keep up the good work.
@ denise… and the colors are definitely in style right now
@ trish… I was a little apprehensive about this trend at first… then i saw marc jacobs use it on his runway and i was sold
