We’re obviously biased, but we think StyleFeeder is a pretty useful tool for keeping track of the stuff you love, expressing your style, and discovering cool new products. We’re constantly thinking of ways to make the site better…and we finally had our “a-ha” moment.

StyleFeeder has been called a “social shopping” site, but the term has always bothered us. Yes, we enable users to share links and help each other find new things, in the same way that social bookmarking sites like de.li.cious allow users to share links to new content. But what if we could actually make online shopping truly social? What if we could actually replicate the best parts of shopping in the offline world? What if StyleFeeder was the friend you take into the dressing room with you, the one who will tell you that those jeans aren’t so flattering, and that you’ll regret buying that zebra rug later because it’s not really you?

That’s when it hit us. We can. So we strove to create a Personal Shopper…one that’s accessible to anybody, no matter their budget. An online shopping companion who will go with you wherever you shop, who knows your tastes inside and out and can make suggestions for things you might like WHILE you’re shopping.

Not only that, this Personal Shopper is powered by actual people, connecting you to your real-life friends, as well as others who share your taste and style. (Not to mention our powerful recommendation engine, always working in the background).
